Aerotek Technician in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Description:
Fire suppression tech is responsible for providing on-site service to our customers around the greater Pittsburgh area pertaining to pre-engineered fire suppression systems. The technician will be expected to complete assigned routes compiled of installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing fire suppression systems to our established customer base. It will also be expected to maintain portable fire extinguisher and emergency lighting units in this position.
Maintain a safe and clean jobsite environment
Work in compliance with various codes such as NFPA17, 17A and 96
Adhere to manufacturer specifications of systems
Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand/power tools
Obtain and remain current in certifications and accolades
Strong communication and customer service skills
Pertinent certifications include ICC, NICET, NFSA, NFPA
Prior fire suppression system experience
Pertinent certifications include ICC, state credentialed, and manufacturer
Ability to work flexible hours (sometimes weekends or overnights)
High school diploma or equivalent – relevant trade school a plus
Must be able to work in a team setting
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Other Requirements
Ability to lift 75+ pounds
Work in jobsite settings at customer facilities
Climbing and working on ladders or at heights achieved in a lift
Positive attitude and desire to learn
Personal protective equipment provided by employer except for safety shoes
