DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Vitalant is seeking a Laboratory Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Laboratory Technician is vital. Support Vitalant's life-saving mission by operating within the laboratory handling responsibilities that include inventory management, receiving in blood samples and shipping out blood products, answering phones and assisting the laboratory with duties as needed.

What to Expect Schedule: Nights 10:45 PM - 7:15 AM works e/o weekend-shift differential 13% for Night shift and additional 8% for weekends

As a Laboratory Technician, you'll get to:  * Maintain accurate data records and documentation.  * Prepare blood components through processes such as centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration.  * Ensure product quality, volume, appearance, and time requirements.  * Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.

Requirements  * High School or GED required  * Previous Laboratory or Manufacturing experience preferred
