Google Technical Program Manager, Risk and Compliance Engineering in Hyderabad, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience translating engineering discussions into actionable engineering tasks and next steps.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing and reviewing technical requirements, design documents, bug triage, setting technical goals, and resolving technical tradeoffs between teams.

  • Experience with methodologies (e.g., Scrum or Kanban).

  • Ability to run and deliver results on technical projects, and develop strategies to align to business requirements from customers or partner teams.

Risk and Compliance Engineering (RCE) has a goal to advance the maturity of governance, risk management, and compliance. The team owns and drives technology strategy, products, and roadmap to enable better-informed decision-making, fulfill audit and compliance obligations, and reduce risk exposure.

  • Track the engineering process and run operations for the India engineering team.

  • Learn technical details of products in order to facilitate decisions with Engineering teams.

  • Identify, establish, and improve processes to increase team efficiency and execution across sprinting, backlog grooming, launch management, and demos.

  • Help create and refine project charters and work plans, identify and raise risks, and prioritize work.

  • Track projects, programs, and status for the team.
