The opportunity

This role will focus on conducting shop floor time studies to analyze and optimize processes within our packaging plant. The intern will gather and evaluate data related to runtime, clean time, set up time, and downtime, playing a crucial role in enhancing our operational efficiencies.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Conduct detailed time studies on various packaging lines to measure and assess runtime, setup time, clean time, and downtime.

  • Collaborate with operations teams to collect data and understand workflow processes.

  • Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements.

  • Prepare reports and presentations to summarize findings and suggest actionable strategies to reduce waste and increase productivity.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

  • Assist in the implementation of new operational procedures and validate their effectiveness through follow-up studies and assessments.

Your experience and qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Available for a duration of 13 weeks

Skills Required:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated interest in supply chain operations, process improvement, and the pharmaceutical industry
