The Facilities Project Engineer for Cytiva is responsible for championing sustainability projects and roadmap execution in the Boroughs; working with EHS program to strengthen the EHS Culture on the LOTO program and contractor management activities in the Boroughs; working with EHS to ensure MOC (Management of change) is in place before having projects executed at the sites; working with suppliers to obtain parts for projects and execution of projects with the support of the Maintenance Technicians; documenting technical specification sheets from assets in the Boroughs and assist in designing and updating technical library of documents for sites, including manuals, specification sheets, etc.; and designing fixtures and gauges to support Manufacturing sites along Maintenance program in the Boroughs

This position is part of the Facilities department located in Westborough, MA and will be on-site. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Review bids from general contractors and confirm budgetary exercises together with sourcing team before execution capex projects on sites.

  • Work with Facilities supervisors on heatmap review by providing technical inputs on spare parts strategy, preventive maintenance strategy and improve the technical library by working with Manufacturing engineering on documentation.

  • Work with Facilities Team & Manufacturing engineering team on project discussions regarding internal WO that require technical inputs for execution.

  • Work with Contractors to validate the bid and project design structure of construction projects in the Boroughs.

  • Coordinate CAPEX budget projects and execute projects within estimated timelines from Transfers of Work/Maintenance Projects.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management or relevant field and 3+ years of relevant experience; or Associate’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or GED) and 5+ years of relevant experience.

  • Prior experience in facilities project management, continuous improvement & business operations.

  • Experience managing contractors on site on construction & infrastructure projects.

  • Experience leading CAPEX/OPEX projects within Facilities environment.

  • Understanding of change control process and validation requirements for infrastructure changes, alongside management of change associated with safety risk management for contractors/internal stakeholder activities.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Machining skills with bridge port & CNC equipment.

  • Welding skills with experience on welding machinery.

  • AutoCad/SolidWorks experience.
