Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

Work closely with product specialists, systems teams and software architects to translate user clinical and workflow needs to software epics, features, use cases, stories and requirements. As part of the team, design, develop, test, refactor and continuously improve product software. Deliver to expected timelines and quality standards. Apply Agile, Lean, Software FMEA and Continuous Integration methodologies to drive reliability upstream in the product development lifecycle. Continuously expand technical knowledge, keep abreast of emerging software technologies and apply them to software development across imaging modalities. Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge. Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project. Understand performance parameters and assess application performance. Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen. Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness. Partner with modality cross-functional product team to execute scanner carrier programs to release imaging digital solution in scanner product lines for forward production and/or IB.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and 5 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree experience in a related Software Development occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), and 3 years of experience in a related Software Development occupation is acceptable. The position also requires: 3 years of software development cycle or automated testing experience (SDLC); 3 years of development experience in AWS Cloud and Java Programming; 3 years experience with Build configuration tools like maven or gradle; 3 years experience in writing scripts using groovy or python or shell scripts; 3 years hands on experience in Linux/Unix based OS; and 3 years experience in configuration management tools including Gitlab/Git and Clearcase. Telecommuting permitted. When not telecommuting, must report/appear into/at GE Precision Healthcare LLC offices in Waukesha, WI.
