The Partnerships and Alliances Director for Cytiva is responsible for managing collaborations and partnerships with academic institutions and consortia on a global basis. The partnerships leader will represent Cytiva Bioprocess (BP) in reviewing and managing projects by guiding the teams to fully assess the technologies and opportunities. The leader will ensure the projects will be supported by the relevant Cytiva Subject Matter Experts (SME). Plus the projects progress will be tracked in Accolade (Toll gate).

What you’ll do

The partnership leader is a key ambassador for BP CTO in external interactions as well as helping senior leaders identify future collaboration opportunities. This highly visible role will deliver technology leadership presentations to academic institutions and consortia as needed.

• Lead global technology partnerships and alliances.

• Manage and prioritize the projects and relationships.

• Manage Budget and coordinate with legal and compliance for equipment placements.

• Liaise with patent team and legal to ensure Cytiva interests are covered.

• Represent Cytiva on the collaboration management boards where required (NJIIT, BCC, UCL, etc.).

• Responsible for managing key metrics ensuring value and continuous improvement such as:

• Project funnel and future value.

• Transfer into Cytiva where appropriate.

• Monitor Publications, posters and other key KPI’s via a bowler.

  Who you are

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant field. Master’s Degree or PhD preferred.

• 15 years relevant experience.

• Experience in developing biopharma projects and working in a regulated industry.

• Demonstrates key leadership traits including integrity, adaptability, vision, judgement, courage and passion.

• Qualitative and quantitative analytical and problem-solving skills with strong technical background.

• Ability to influence management decision makers of the right technological pathways.

• Intellectual property, value drivers and valuation principles of relevance for licensing, collaboration and related transactions.

• Good analytical skills in order to validate and prioritize complex information from multiple sources.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
