The Agency Process Analyst within the Department of Revenue will lead the business process mapping activities for work that has department wide or multi-divisional implications. As part of the Business Solutions and Continuity Division, this position will bring expertise and enthusiasm as we build our products and services designed to help our customers find innovative solutions to business problems. Work with staff and leadership from across the agency to build a comprehensive system of Business Process Management practices that result in documented processes that are consistent, sustainable, and shareable.

Join the Department of Revenue as an Agency Process Analyst and take the lead in mapping business processes with wide-ranging impacts across departments and divisions. As a key member of the Business Solutions and Continuity Division, you'll drive innovation in our products and services to address complex business challenges. Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership throughout the agency to establish a robust framework of Business Process Management practices, ensuring the creation of well-documented, consistent, and shareable processes. Minimum Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years of advanced level professional experience in business process management or business analysis.

  • Establishing project goals and expectations, problem anticipation, contingency planning, result evaluation, and focused feedback provision.

  • Leading large-scale business improvement projects with significant impact.

  • Skill in determining the scope of research, including the methodology, use of statistics, data collection, data analysis, forecasting and creation of related reports.

  • Demonstrated experience or formal training in project management methodology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced communication abilities encompassing articulate oral presentations, formal writing for various mediums such as presentations, informational materials, and reports, as well as proficient editing skills.

  • Exemplary interpersonal skills essential for seamlessly adapting to the evolving responsibilities of the role, serving as a technical resource, and contributing to projects.

  • Competence in leveraging technology tools for research, data analysis, communication, and educational purposes.

  • Ability to discern the public implications of various issues and trends, identifying stakeholders and participants for policy matters.

  • Experience, training, and/or certification in process improvement methodology (i.e. LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.).

  • Familiarity with Minnesota State government policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.

  • Proficiency and expertise in utilizing process mapping software including Visio and IBM BlueWorksLive (BWL).

  • Master’s degree in business or public administration or a closely related field.

Physical Requirements

Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
