Lincoln Tech in New Britain, CT has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director of Nursing to assist with managing the Nursing Education Department. You will help to achieve the optimum level of student retention and fulfill the institutional aims and mission of the organization, by maintaining the highest level of quality, ethics, and integrity. You would ensure that the school's operations are in full compliance with all government, accreditation, and Company policies and procedures.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN), MSN preferred
RN License in the state of CT
3+ years of experience in education
Responsibilities
Assist with faculty recruitment, hiring, and orientation
Mentor faculty members; provide support and direction in areas of educational development
Assist faculty in instructional delivery methods that address students' differing learning styles
Ensure that all instructors are present, and that adequate provisions are made for classes affected by faculty absences
Evaluate and update the Faculty Education Plan (FEP) for all nursing faculty
Assist with faculty file review
Assist with the academic scheduling of faculty and students
Oversee the Clinical Skill Lab, including scheduling of students and faculty
Conduct classroom observations and surveys; review results with faculty, students, and the Director of Nursing - PN, as appropriate
Support and enforce school and academic policies and procedures; advise and support instructors, as needed
Assist in addressing students' questions and concerns regarding attendance, curriculum and progression, graduation, and re-entry standards or issues
Maintain an inventory of all equipment, book supplies, training aids, and course materials, within the respective program, as applicable
Manage student progress from orientation to graduation. Ensure satisfactory academic progress as it relates to student progression.
Provide students with feedback directly or through faculty
Monitor student breaks, ensuring that students follow the prescribed school guidelines
Report to the Director of Nursing
Ability to read and interpret documents, including federal, state, and local regulations
Ability to produce routine reports and correspondence
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
MSN education track
2+ years of teaching experience
1+ years of management experience
