Are you looking for a challenging modeling engineering opportunity and have an interest in joining Micron’s ASIC design team in Minneapolis, MN ? In this position, you ​will support the modeling of analog circuitry for architecture pathfinding and integration into digital design and verification flows. In this role, you will use your knowledge of analog circuits and digital flows to be at the forefront of defining the architecture and verifying the next generation of Micron’s internally developed PHYs for both memory controllers and internal tester ASICs. The ideal candidate will be a strongly motivated self-starter, with a diverse analog, digital, and software skillset. They will have a desire to search out and fill gaps throughout the design flow. This role requires a strong track record of success in the modeling of analog circuits in the industry standard analog and digital design tools.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Be part of a highly skilled, high-speed-PHY design team working on deep sub-micron technology nodes.

  • Write software and scripts to enable the abstraction of analog circuitry to enable the exploration of design and verification in higher-level environments.

  • Work with the analog and digital design teams to define complex mixed-signal algorithms to optimize circuit performance.

SKILLS required:

  • Successful track record using industry-standard tools: Python, MATLAB (octave), Verilog simulators, ADS, Cadence ADE, Spectre, AMS verification, etc.

  • Strong fundamental knowledge of analog circuit design and AMS design.

  • Strong written and verbal communication.

  • Understand architecture tradeoffs in high-speed CMOS.

  • Understanding of Mismatch analysis & Monte-Carlo methodology/sims.

  • Expert knowledge of high-speed PHY/SerDes mixed-signal systems and architecture tradeoffs.

  • Circuit design experience in mixed signal CMOS circuits in state-of-the-art FinFET technologies is a plus.

  • Candidates should be curious and always looking to contribute, learn, and grow.

Qualifications:

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.

  • 6+ years of experience, depending on degree.
