Government travel for training, meetings, or customer interactions will be required in this position. Applicants selected for this position may be required to serve a one-year supervisory probationary period. Failure to successfully complete the supervisory probationary period will result in the employee being reassigned to a position in the agency of no lower grade and pay than the one the employee left to accept the supervisory or managerial position. Major Duties: Plan contracting actions by supervising and or performing duties such as developing acquisition strategies, determining pre-negotiation positions, and determining the type of contracts and negotiation authorities. Direct a full range of contract administration actions such as contract modifications, negotiations of changes, exercising of options, resolution of delays, disposition of claims; tacking contractor performance and other related matters. Provide complex contractual direction to personnel consisting of other Contracting Officers and Specialists, Program Directors, and upper management at the highest levels.
