JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Position Purpose Under direct supervision, provide basic support to laboratory functions including maintenance, operation and inventory of equipment and supplies. Support research investigators as needed. Primary Functions Provide clean and sterilized glassware for use in research lab. Operate and maintain a variety of basic lab equipment such as autoclaving. Make and supply media buffers and water to research areas as needed. Assist in organizing and setup lab supplies and equipment for individual research investigators. Assist with inventory and record of supplies. Participate in meetings with principle investigator and research staff and conduct/evaluate/interpret the validity of data as needed. Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Ability to learn general laboratory procedures. Ability to use independent judgment. Ability to read, understand, follow direction of safety procedures. Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail required Preferred Schedule: Variable Position Requirements: Minimum Required Education: Current High School Student or recent graduate Minimum Required Experience: No experience required.
