JOB REQUIREMENTS: This project-focused appointment in organic and catalytic chemistry will support the research program of PI: Dr. Chae Yi. The project will focus on the development of green catalytic methods that are applicable to the synthesis of organic molecules of pharmacological importance. Duties and Responsibilities -Carry out research in synthetic organic and inorganic chemistry. Synthesis of transition metal catalysts. -Conduct research on the development of new green catalytic coupling methods as an active member of the lab. Provide research summary at the end of the appointment and assist a graduate mentor to compile the experimental data. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Candidate should have about one year of undergraduate lab experience in chemical research and have a solid grasp of the principles of organic chemistry. Effective communication and organizational skills are important to successfully carry out this position.
