Job Summary:

If you are an V&V Engineer looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Pune, India location, you will be a member of a collaborative Team. You will have the opportunity to Innovative Designs and work with global technical leadership teams for Verification & Validation for Emerson business units located across the globe. You’ll be employed for Emerson Innovation Centre, Pune (EICP)

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Functional testing of embedded software..

• Identify and develop detailed and comprehensive test scenarios, test cases and test data.

• Develop automation scripts using in-house or commercially available automation tools.

• Develop and maintain Hardware test setups that are part of automated test enviroment

• Build and maintain hardware test setups and ability to tackle issues.

• Explore opportunities to test real world field use cases using simulation.

• Build test plan, test schedule, test designs and test objectives to ensure product quality.

• Conduct peer reviews and ensure quality of test artifacts and work.

• Test case management including creation of test builds, assign tests, complete tests and generate test and defect reports.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Demonstrated ability of testing embedded software products.

• Experience in testing of communication protocols such as RS-232, RS-485 and Modbus.

• Ability to debug hardware setup issues and familiarity with protocol analyzer tools.

• Strong experience with closed system testing methodology as well as performance testing.

• Good understanding of the embedded product design will be preferred.

• Problem solving skills with ability to analyze and isolate issues in hardware or software.

• Hands on experience working on BDD or Keyword driven test framework.

• Experience using tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket or Azure DevOps will be an added advantage.

• Good understanding of waterfall and agile project development life cycles.

• Good communication skills in both oral and written, and with a strong desire to work in a cross-cultural team.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• ISTQB Foundation level (or equivalent) certification would be preferred.

• Cybersecurity experience, i.e. security requirements analysis, threat modelling, security testing / fuzz testing would be preferred.
