Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for a Senior Engineer – RM-Digitalization for the FED division in the Aerospace Business. This position will be based in Pune, India.

The Senior Engineer is primarily responsible for leading engineering projects and deliverables of Requirement Management and Digitalization projects for Conveyance Products.

Performs engineering work for Requirement Management for New Technology Development projects, New Product Introduction projects, and Digitalization – Design automation projects for product lines of Aerospace Fluid Conveyance Products. Contributes effectively toward team goals and influences the work group; works beyond the routine nature of tasks utilizing specialized knowledge to support internal and external customers."

"(1) Lead/mentor multiple projects/programs/teams related to New Technology Development projects, New Product Introduction projects, and Digitalization – Design automation projects through the execution of these programs/projects in a timely manner, supporting the business goals and meeting Team level metrics

(2) Understanding project needs, executing milestones, conduct design reviews, present technical studies, and findings to the portfolio lead, technical lead, design review board & chief engineer of the product line

(3) Collaborates with cross-functions like global engineering teams, program management, manufacturing, quality and test lab to ensure program execution excellence managing multiple projects

(4) Leads a small team and provides mentorship to junior engineers to develop them for Technical, process and execution skills

(5) Sustains process for design standards and procedures governing product design methods, documents and data control for the associated business group

(6) Drives PRO-Launch execution for NPI programs with work package approvals, requirement management plan, and attaining all engineering deliverables per activity matrix

(7) Resolve technical issues and roadblocks impacting assigned projects by taking quick and timely decisions which are well supported by design calculations, engineering analysis, and prediction methodology."

Qualifications:

"Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering

Desired: Master’s Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering "

5 -8 years of experience (BE/B.Tech) or 3-5 years (ME/M.tech) in Product design and development, manufacturing and Testing processes

"• Experience of managing Requirements for new product development to support capture/analyze system requirements, assessing compliance, flow down of system requirements to subsystems & components, design, analysis, validation and verification activities, beginning in the conceptual design phase and continuing throughout development till all phases.

• Direct technical experience in leading products and systems with domain knowledge in Aerospace Fluid Conveyance product or similar products with system routing and integration.

• Experience with CAD tools (CATIA, ProE) and PLM tools (SAP, Enovia)

• Leading projects with multiple stakeholders in matrix organization and strong project management experience is required

Skills:

• Exposure to Digitalization/Automation projects with 3D CAD tools and Technical reports. Exposure to CATIA automation, Python programming would be plus.

• Understanding of digital tools architecture, logic development, coding, handling database management, User testing and debugging skills. Awareness of software development cycle and exposure to ML/AL programming tools & related projects would be plus

• Exposure to tools for requirements management such as DOORS and JAMA. Exposure to MBSE concepts would be plus.

• Knowledge of System V-Cycle and systems processes defined ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288"
