This Caseworker position focuses on providing Independent Living services directed to assist youth ages 14 -22 with their transition to independence and securing permanent connections in their life. This role supports youth in the areas of housing education, life skills, employment, prevention, and supports to prepare them for the transition to adulthood. The right candidate will able to work collaboratively with Family Support units as well as other agency staff and maintain well-organized records. Responsibilities included: completing Needs Assessment and IL Plans, planning and facilitating life skills instructions, identifying positive support systems to include Family Finding, working with parents / guardians to support their role, assisting with pursuing educational goals, reviewing and evaluating the progress of the youth's independent living/transition plan, and much more. 

This is a full time, 40 hours per week position. Normal work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM, with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch. Due to the nature of this position, non-traditional hours may sometimes be required.

*Minimum Qualifications: *

1. A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplements by successful completion of 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences. 
2. Must have a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance

1. Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 33)
2. Pennsylvania State Police Request for Criminal Records Check (Act 34)
3. FBI Criminal Background Check (Act 73)

Compensation: $20.16 per hour minimum to start for a Caseworker 1, may be higher depending upon experience and qualifications.
