Robert Bosch LLC seeks Senior Calibration Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 38000 Hills Tech Dr, Farmington Hills, MI. Responsible for the calibration and vehicle integration of Airbag ECU and sensors. Responsible for Requirement analysis and elicitation for vehicle safety systems. Serve as a Technical contact to customer and other internal stakeholders from Software, Hardware, and mechanic disciplines to clarify and implement calibration and vehicle integration specific requirements. Ensure ECU and sensors are mounted as per Bosch guidelines. Work with the customer to determine optimal location for Airbag ECU and peripheral sensors. Obtain vehicle crash data from crash lab (measured by sensors and recorded during crash) and process them into crash database for simulation. Set/calibrate algorithm parameters to reach an (airbag) deployment performance meeting the requirements from customer. Work on validation of the calibration with simulation and HIL testing. Present calibration/deployment performance to customer. Responsible for calibration performance for series production with safety background to meet customer and government requirements (high quality required). Lead customer specific features/algorithm development cycle (V model) through Bosch local/global team. Conduct and analyze all tests cases in Algorithm requirements test plan and system test plan to ensure that requirements are met for a high-quality product. Support project estimations in acquisition phase. Support planning and management of application resources in a customer project. Document everything as per related processes. REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or Physics, plus 5 years of professional experience with software development/calibration. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: (1) Signal processing/analysis; (2) Requirement analysis and elicitation for vehicle safety systems; (3) Creating new calibration data sets for vehicle safety system; (4) Analyzing vehicle data and preparing for simulation; (5) Reviewing and validating data sets; (6) Test report evaluation; and (7) Designing new functions for vehicle safety.
