This job req is for an Experienced (Senior or Principle) Thin Film process development engineer in Micron Technology, Inc. As a Senior/Principal engineer, you will be a part of revolutionary Next Generation Advanced DRAM research & development thin films deposition team. The position promises ample opportunities for innovation, collaboration and testing a new dimension with Micron's Advanced DRAM Products. You will work directly with process integration and other process areas such as Wet etch, Metals, Dry Etch, Lithography & CMP.

You will work on state of the art and best in class deposition chambers & own the process roadmap to meet program and yield goals. Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: starting up, developing and optimizing processes to improve product quality and reliability, working on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems. You will also be required to identify, diagnose and resolve assembly process related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC/FDC methodology. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and carrying out process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process step, leading and participating in yield improvement and cost reduction activities, handling new process baseline qualifications and managing, auditing and liaising with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives.

• Identify, diagnose and solve problems impacting the part yield through development and innovation of new thin films deposition solutions on both CVD Tools, Diffusion Furnaces, and through the use of Anneals and RTP.

• Develop and Execute to technical Thin Films development and Hardware roadmaps to solve solutions that are new to the industry.

• Establish new BKM Recipes and Processes for ALD, PEALD, and THERMAL Driven Thin Films Depositions, to be utilized for Hard-mask and Photo-lithography Patterning, High Aspect Ratio Liners and Trench Fills, as well as Thermal Treatments or Chemical Treatments of Substrate.

• Work closely with other internal organizations, as well as equipment, process and materials vendors to solve challenging Thin Film Development and Integration problems associated with Industry Leading Advanced DRAM.

• Coordinate and execute process, equipment and material evaluation / optimization initiatives and implement changes at process step

• Lead / participate in continuous yield improvement and cost reduction activities

• Validate and fan out new process baseline qualified, including new process, tools and/or materials for new product introduction

• Support SPC/FDC/RMS/APC

• Support site to site portability

• Manage / audit material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives

• Support internal and external audits

Education: PhD +5 years of relevant experience, or MS degree +7
