Position Summary:

As aMachine LearningEngineer, youll deliver simple solutions to complex. Here, you'll tailor cutting-edge solutions to the unique requirements of our clients. Youll Rapidly prototypecontainerizedmultimodal deep learning solutions and associateddatapipelines to enable GeoAI capabilities for improvinganalyticworkflowsand addressing key intelligence questions. You will be at the cutting edge of implementing State-of-the-Art (SOTA) Computer Vision (CV) and Vision Language Models (VLM) for conducting image retrieval, segmentation tasks,AI-assisted labeling, object detection, and visual question answering usinggeospatialdatasets such as satellite and aerial imagery, full-motion video (FMV), ground photos, and OpenStreetMap.

Required Qualifications:

• Requires an activeTS/SCIClearance
• Bachelor or Master'DegreeinComputer Science,Artificial Intelligence,Machine Learning,Data Science, or equivalentexperiencein lieu ofdegree.
• 8+ years of relevantexperience.
• Role will be ahybridremote role with up to the 3 days a week on a government site.
• Demonstratedexperienceapplying transfer learning and knowledge distillationmethodologiesto fine-tune pre-trained foundation and computer vision models to quickly perform segmentation and object detection tasks with limited trainingdatausing satellite imagery.
• Demonstrated professional or academicexperiencebuilding securecontainerizedPythonapplications to include hardening, scanning,automatingbuilds using CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated professional or academicexperienceusingPythonto queryy and retrieve imagery from S3 compliantAPI's perform common image preprocessing such as chipping, augment, or conversion using common libraries like Boto3 andNumPy.
• Demonstrated professional or academicexperiencewith deep learning frameworks such asPyTorchorTensorflowto optimize convolutional neural networks (CNN) such as ResNet or U-Net for object detection or segmentation tasks using satellite imagery.
• Demonstrated professional or academicexperiencewith version control systems such as Gitlab.
• Demonstratedexperienceleveraging CUDA for GPU accelerated computing.

Desired skills and abilities:

• Demonstrated professional or academicexperiencewith the HuggingFace Transformers library and hub.
• Demonstratedexperiencewith OpenShift and container orchestration within Kubernetes using Helm, Kubectl, Kustomize, or Operators.
• Demonstrated*experienc *with Vision Transformers (ViT) such as DINO or DeiT.
• Demonstrated academic or professionalexperiencecommunicating methodological choices and model results.
• Demonstratedexperiencewith verification and validation test benches.
• Demonstratedexperiencewith ExplainableAI(XAI) techniques.
• Demonstratedexperiencewith Open Neural Net Exchange (ONNX).
